ACP vs A2A

I'm curious if you have considered reformulating ACP as an extension to A2A rather than a standalone protocol?

I am also curious about the current status on this. I can also see that there was an ACP by IBM, which was indeed merged with A2A (https://www.ibm.com/think/topics/agent-communication-protocol)... Can somebody help me out how Agent Client Protocol, Agent Communication Protocol and A2A are similar or different?

To make it more confusing, the site https://agentcommunicationprotocol.dev/ is aesthetically very similar, and current LLM models seem to be somewhat more familiar with the “Agent Communication Protocol” when "ACP" is referenced without additional context.

(This acronym clash definitely deserves it 😉)
