”Effective from 1st of January 2026, the following change will be made to “List One: Current Currency & Funds”:

The Council of the European Union formally approved the accession of Bulgaria to the euro area on 1 January 2026.
The exchange rate is fixed at EUR 1 = BGN 1.95583 Bulgarian Lev (BGN) and Euro (EUR) will be used during the parallel circulation period from 01.01.2026 to 31.01.2026 inclusive.
The period of mandatory dual price display lasts from 08.08.2025 to 08.08.2026. As of 01.01.2026, Bulgarian Lev should be listed as the old/historic currency of Bulgaria.
